For the second year, Trident Transport hosted a Cornhole Tournament to benefit Child Life Services at Erlanger Children’s Hospital, raising $15,000. Trident employees presented the check to the Child Life team on Monday at Erlanger Children’s Hospital.

People gathered in Trident’s parking lot on Saturday, April 6, for a day filled with live music, slime, and of course, cornhole. The tournament had two divisions, casual and pro, that participants competed in for a cash prize and trophy.

Child Life Services staff hosted a slime table for the children where they were able to create and decorate their own slime.“It was heart-warming to see so much of the community come out and support Child Life Services,” said Heath Haley, president of Trident Transport.

“The child life team goes above and beyond for those kids each and every day to make their experience and time at the hospital better. We saw such a need with them, and we are thrilled to be able to help.” Several local businesses partnered with Trident Transport through event sponsorships. 2 Sons + Kitchen, Hutton & Smith Brewing, Coyote Jacks, HHM, FreightWaves, Synovus Mortgage, Patton Albertson Miller, Keller Williams Realty, Mr. Rooter, Brody Jewelers, Brock Insurance, Reliance Partners, Pinnacle Bank, 1400 Chestnut, SmartBank, Naked River Brewing, and Shull Development sponsored the Cornhole Tournament. Trident Transport works with Child Life Services on a monthly basis.

Trident employees will volunteer time at the hospital for patient parties, host toy drives, and give donations for whatever Child Life Services may need.
